Bidayyat for Audiovisual Arts is pleased to announce the world premiere of the short film “Douma that al ard” by Tim Alsiofi, at the international competition of the 72^nd edition of the Locarno Film Festival.

The festival runs in Switzerland between August 7 and 17, and the premiere will take place on the 8^th of August at 14:00.

The film has another 2 screenings; on the 9^th of August, at 17:00 and on the 10^th of August at 9:30.

The film’s synopsis:

With the barrel bombs falling on Ghouta, the Eastern suburbs of Damascus, civilians sought shelter in the basements of their homes. I was one of them, holding on to my camera, I tried to film what I couldn’t express in words.
