The fourth intensive documentary workshop has ended at the same time with the editing workshop. The total number of participants was 16.

Eight participants from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine got a 6month intensive workshop on technical and theoretical skills in documentary filmmaking, and every participant worked on his own short film. Professionals in directing, filming, and editing supervised the workshop, in collaboration with the Scottish Documentary Institute.

The training has started with two intensive sessions in which the ideas of the films were developed under the supervision of the trainers. Then the shooting period has started and the rushed were shown.

The last stage of the workshop coincided with selecting eight people who are interested in film editing to join a small workshop. And then they worked with the participants of the documentary workshop on editing their film during 12 days, in presence and help of the two editors Qutaiba Barhamji and Oscar De Gispert.

The workshop has ended with the screening of the initial result of the films in presence of a jury committee composed of the directors Maher Abi Samra and Rania Rafie, and with Bidayyat’s participation.

Out of the eight projects, the committee has selected four of them (2 from Syria, and 2 from Lebanon) to support their production. Congratulations to all participants of the two workshops and Congratulations to the four selected projects.
