On February 18^th, Milad Amin and Ghaith Berem’s “Land of Doom”, depicting the last days of Eastern Aleppo’s siege, will have its World Premiere at  Berlinale Forum Expanded.

The screening will take place at Akademie der Künste (E) at 14:00.

Another screening of the film will follow the world premiere on 19^th of February at 17:45, in Kino Arsenal 1 (E) Hall.

Produced in 2018 by Bidayyat for Audiovisual Arts in collaboration with Rusul, the film depicts the last days of Eastern Aleppo’s siege and before its fall, when Milad, residing in Beirut, follows up with his friend Ghaith, the besieged civilian activist and photographer, on people’s situations and sufferings while waiting for their fate among the fighting parties. The film is an intimate and personal recording of civilians’ sufferings during this time of siege, hunger, and war, and a recording of the relationship that brought activists together during the civil movements, and of the geographic distances that separated them because of violence, bombing and killing.
