First time screening of "The Borrowed Dress" and "Land of Doom" in Lebanon at Karama Beirut Festival

"Land of Doom" and "The Borrowed Dress" In Karama Beirut Human Rights Film Festival on 18th and 20th of July.

After its premiere in Europe and Africa, Milad Amin and Ghith Beram’s “Land of Doom” (produced by Bidayyat) will have its Lebanese premiere at the 3rd edition of Karama Beirut Human Rights Film Festival.

The film’s screening take place on Friday, 20th of July, between 6 and 7:30 pm at Metropolis Sofil Cinema.

 

“Land of Doom” depicts the last days of Eastern Aleppo’s siege and before its fall, when Milad, residing in Beirut, follows up with his friend Ghiath, the besieged civilian activist and photographer, on people’s situations and sufferings while waiting for their fate among the fighting parties.

 

 

On Wednesday 18th, and for the first time in the Arab World, “The Borrowed Dress”(granted by Bidayyat), directed by Leen Al Faisal and granted by Bidayyat, will be screened at 9:30 pm at Metropolis. The documentary tells the story of Syrian family separated and scattered in different places in the world because of the aftermath of the Syrian revolution.

 

Both Milad Amin and Leen Al Faisal will be present for a Q&A discussion after their film screenings.
