After many international awards of which the last one was in Dei Popoli, “On the Edge of Life” by Yasser Kassab won Best Documentary Award and Best Mid-length Documentary Award in Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) in Albania.

The jury described the film as a heart-rending personal essay on grief and uprooting, on the limbo states of existence.

At the same time, the film was screened in the mid-length documentary competition and “Taste of Cement” by Ziad Kalthoum (International Feature Competition) in “Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal” that started on November 9 and ends on the 19th.
