Talal Khoury, director of photography for feature documentaries and fiction that won many international prizes, is presenting Bidayyat by an installation and a short movie, “Mediterranean”, at 2017 ACC Arts Space Network Forum from August 28 to the 4th of September, hosted by Asia Culture Institute in Korea.
2017 ACC Arts Space Network Forum is a long-term project that has been holding by ACC since 2011. This year, 40 art spaces from Asian countries were invited to the forum whose theme is “Urban Implosion”.
Mediterranean, directed by Talal Khoury and produced by Bidayyat, is a 6-minute video-essay, the same duration that takes a human to drown, inviting the spectator to meet those blue waters of the Mediterranean that are constantly swallowing people, while the world is watching. The video shows what is happening in the Mediterranean for the past few years, where people are risking everything in order to flee the brutality of war in Syria.
